College Hill lost a good friend last week with the passing of Win Milam. Win and his wife, Ann, were residents of the neighborhood in the 80s and 90s. They restored three beautiful College Hill homes (111, 213 and 438 South Mendenhall Street). Win was a great neighbor and a great friend. He was generous with his expertise, and his contribution to our neighborhood in the early days of the historic district was tremendous. Our condolences to Ann, their children, and the rest of the Milam family.
