Nonprofit Groups

The Preservation Greensboro Development Fund was instrumental in saving the Carrie and Charles Angle House at 919 Spring Garden Street after a disastrous fire in 2011. The Fund worked with the neighborhood association and the City of Greensboro to find a buyer to restore the house.

    Helping to transform the greater Greensboro area into a community that embraces people who ride bikes.

    An economic development organization focused on stimulating investment and activity in the neighborhood just east of College Hill.
  • Farmers Markets
    Greensboro Farmers Market, 501 Yanceyville Street
    The Corner Farmers Market, 2105 W. Market Street
  • Downtown Greenway
    A 4-mile walking and biking trail, now under construction, that will run along the east side of College Hill and form a loop around downtown Greensboro.
  • Greensboro Beautiful
    Partnering with the City and residents of Greensboro to conserve and enhance the beauty and ecology of our community.
  • Guilford Green Foundation
    Working to unite our community through meaningful participation and by fostering organizations that advance LGBTQ persons and issues.
  • Humane Society of the Piedmont
    Operates a low-cost spay/neuter and wellness clinic and works to reduce pet overpopulation, provide assistance to pet owners in need and reduce euthanasia in local shelters.
