Earlier this month, there were two break-ins in College Hill, one on Tate Street and one on Walker Avenue. Because of similarities in these two events, Greensboro Police think they may be related. In both cases, residents left their homes in the morning with the intent of being gone just a short time. While they were away, the homes were broken into and computers were stolen. Fortunately, no one was injured and no property damage occurred. It is possible the criminal(s) were specifically watching to see if anyone left their homes.
The Police urge you to lock your doors, even if you’re only running a quick errand. Use a deadbolt, not just the door lock, to secure the doors. If you have a security system, use it to your full advantage.
