The fine young men of UNCG’s Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity have adopted Springdale Park as a service project, and we can thank them for a long overdue painting of the park’s classic concrete animals. The owl and rabbit have been the subject of much talk and good intentions over the years, but, for some reason, actually getting them painted has been a project no one had ever gotten around to. We thank the bros of Pi Kappa Alpha for getting it done, and in an appropriately colorful style, too.

The Weatherspoon is open. There's music on Tate Street, and we're close to downtown, the Coliseum and most of Greensboro's other arts and entertainment venues. Check the Calendar and Local Events pages for links to major events, major venues, university event calendars and Greensboro's busy local arts scene.
